Good polices. Price is fair. 25 minute wait times for customer support. I rather pay a bit more the sit on hold 2x for 25 -30 minutes.
It took them 5 months to ask for documents after documents and find a way not to cover. Very dissatisfied with the service and the experience. Avoid!
There's absolute transparency regarding what you are entitled to and what you're not entitled to. It's very easy to understand what you're getting for the money you're paying. I'm satisfied with that.
I used to find it very convenient but now there is no branch open on the Central Coast on a Saturday. I am thinking of going back to my old insurer and doing it over the phone.
At St George they changed our premiums without making it obvious to us and on the odd occasion we have tried to make a claim they have said we are not covered.
It is hard to say as I have not had to put a claim through as yet. But to sign up with them was easy and I found the level of insurance that I required to be very price competitive. It is a easy direct debit each month which again has made the whole process easy.
After making a claim for a leaking roof, the first bloke told us they would have to replace the roof in our bathroom. A second bloke then made a visit and said they only needed to paint it, he swapped a cracked roof tile over to the top of the laundry and sent in the painter. They made things so hard, the next time we make a claim it would only be if the thing burnt to the ground. We do have cover for fire.
When our house was flooded in 2011, they immediately gave us $5000 no questions asked and then told us we had undervalued our things and to re-estimate the amount of things we lost thus making our payout bigger! They were so lovely the entire time and our premiums barely went up at all.
