The HSBC Day to Day Account comes with a bunch of great features that make it worth knowing about. It has no ongoing monthly fees and comes with an HSBC Visa Debit Card that can be used in-store, online or overseas.

Key features

The HSBC Day to Day Account allows you to access your money online, in branch or over the phone, through your Visa Debit Card, or BPAY. HSBC takes the fuss out of switching bank accounts, as it helps you move over all your regular direct debits by contacting your gym, employer, utility company or mobile phone provider for you. And if you want to build your cash stash, you can link to an HSBC Flexi Saver or Serious Saver account.

The HSBC Day to Day Account comes with an HSBC Visa Debit Card that has everything you need (and more!). Whether you’re paying in-store, shopping online or simply making a purchase over the phone, you can use your own cash and avoid accumulating debt on a credit card. You can also set up recurring payments on your Visa Debit Card, to make paying bills a no brainer.

There are no ATM withdrawal fees and with Visa Zero Liability you’ll be protected against fraudulent activities (applicable to transactions processed through the Visa network and may be subject to investigation).

While you can use this account when travelling or shopping internationally, just be aware that overseas ATM withdrawals will incur a $4.50 fee and on top of this you’ll be charged a foreign currency transaction fee of 3% of the total amount of each overseas transaction.
