Key features

The Smart Booster Home Loan from loans.com.au comes with a stellar introductory variable rate. The two-year discount special offers a super low variable rate of just 2.10% p.a. (2.46% p.a. comparison rate*) for the first two years before rolling over to the standard variable rate of 2.50% p.a.

This loan is available to both homebuyers or refinancers looking to borrow between $50,000 and $1 million, over 15 to 30 years. You’ll need to have a loan-to-value ratio (LVR) below 80% though.

Besides the low rates, the Smart Booster Home Loan also comes with plenty of flexible features, like extra repayments, free redraws and the option to split your loan up to five times. That means, if you want the flexibility of variable rate loans but the security of fixed rate loans, you’ll have the opportunity to get the best of both worlds by combining the Smart Booster Home Loan with a Fixed Home Loan from loans.com.au.

Plus, there is even the option of adding an offset account, though this will attract an additional 0.10% interest loading. And if you prefer to coincide your mortgage repayments with pay day, the Smart Booster Home Loan makes it super easy by giving customers the choice between weekly, fortnightly or monthly repayments.

With this loan you won’t have to worry about any application or ongoing fees. Although, you will need to factor in a few upfront costs, including a valuation fee ($220 or at cost) and a $300 settlement fee.

Any catches

Bear in mind that the Smart Booster Home Loan’s variable intro rate of 2.10% p.a. (2.46% p.a. comparison rate*) is only temporary, and will revert to a steeper rate once the introductory period is over.
