There’s a lot to like about the Virgin Money Home and Contents Insurance policy, starting with just how extensive it is. You’ll find you’re covered under a wide range of circumstances, including fire, storm, earthquake and theft. Flood and accidental damage cover are also available but come in a list of extras which must be purchased separately.
Cash is covered up to $800, while computer software is insured for up to $3,000. Cover for valuables is much higher: $5,000 per item for artwork, or up to $12,000 in total, and $1,000 per item for jewellery, or up to $5,000 in total.
The application process is online and should take no more than a few minutes. And once your policy is up and running, you’ll be able to manage it online with the Virgin Insurance Hub. When it comes time to make a claim, you can do so online or over the phone at any time.
One nifty perk of this policy is the chance to earn Velocity Points. If you’re already a member of the Velocity program and apply before 19 August 2020, you can bag 5,000 Velocity Points upon purchase of a new policy. If you’re saving up for a trip, this will bring you one step closer.
