Easter is coming soon: here's an early look at the online shopping deals to watch

Easter might not typically be known as one of the best times to get your online shopping done, but savvy shoppers with some experience will know that certain online retailers offer great savings at this time of year.

Since Easter is still a few weeks away, there’s time to research and prep. But judging from previous years, the following categories and shops could give an indication of where to go.

Technology

For the last couple of years many tech retailers looking to drum up some more business have offered great deals around Easter. Hoping either to attract some more foot traffic over the long weekend, or simply drive up autumn sales, they can usually be counted on to serve up some deals come April.

Last year, tech deals were offered by:

• JB Hi-Fi

They ran an Easter-madness sale on select products like apple AirPods, MacBooks and apple iPhones. They’re quite likely to run a similar sale this year.

• The Good Guys

With a slightly larger range of whitegoods, The Good Guys also had offerings on technology in Easter 2021. They’ve already announced their plans to extend sales this year.

• Rebel Sport

Rebel Sport reportedly offered up to 50 percent off selected fitness watches. There could potentially be some good savings here come Easter 2022.

• Amazon

The world’s biggest one-stop shop will be sure to have some great deals across the board, so will be one to keep an eye on for sure.

Fashion

One of the other big areas for online shopping this Easter is bound to be fashion. Last year there were big savings to be had on fast fashion and shoes. The following brands are likely to have something similar on offer.

• The Iconic

The Iconic had 25 percent off many of its brands. An upcoming Easter sale could be the perfect time to update your wardrobe for the autumn/winter season, or to stock up on some of summer’s best looks for a great price.

• Myer

Myer had 30 percent off many items across its stores in Easter 2021. This didn’t apply to every brand particularly flagship and luxury brands, but there could still be good savings to be had on shoes, accessories and outfits.

• Online deals

Nike, Vans, JD Sport and Sunglasses hut all offered great savings in April last year. When they announce their next Easter sale these brands will be worth checking out.

Homewares

If the last few years has taught us anything, it's that your home is more of a sanctuary than it has ever been. If there are just a few more details you want to fix, Easter 2022 could be a great time to jump on that. Here are a few of the retailers we can expect to offer online shopping deals in the next few weeks.

• Dyson

Last year Dyson had a deal offering up to $200 off selected stick vacuums. If you’re looking to join the club with the much-hyped machines, keep an eye out for a similar deal this year.

• Koala

Koala had up to 20% off a range of bedroom, lounge and dining room furniture, including the popular Koala mattress. They could potentially repeat a deal like this in 2022, so if you’ve been wanting to make the switch to a different mattress this could be your opportunity.

• House

Home and kitchen store House had up to a whopping 75 per cent off across its range, this could be a great chance to score some new kitchen gear if they repeat a similar sale this year.

• David Jones

DJ’s came to the table with 30-50% off a range of full-priced homewares and electrical goods.

Online retailers still haven’t begun promoting their Easter sales for 2022 quite yet, but they will be coming in the next few weeks. Having a good idea of what shops you want to check out could help save you time, money and stress over a busy Easter period.
