If you can read the documents to me that I sent you, the ones you asked for, then how do you then say you never got them or that they were lost? The games to open a savings account. I called 9 times. Run around. Promises to call back, nothing. Customer service is lies. I found a better deal at another bank and they were far more honest. Turns out there are a lot better bank deal on international banking too. I do a lot of international banking. Don’t trust or waste your time with Citi bank. If they can’t be honest about your documents, why would you trust them with your money?
Applied for a savings account with CitiBank in March of 2023. Over 3 months later and no account. They lost documents. They didn’t return any of the 9 calls I made after promising to call back in 24 hrs. They then read the documents to me that they claimed to have lost after telling me they never got them. Expressed mailed as told only to be told 3 months later I should have emailed them to an email they never gave me. Terrible customer service and they obviously don’t care.
Terrible bank. They withhold transfers and restrict access to your own money. The call centre tell you everything will be sorted but nothing happens. Cannot be trusted.
Not a bad bank. Good introductory rate but not so good after the introductory period. Can only transfer to a linked account which is not ideal. Not highly recommended but some people may like it
Online Saver account was easy to set up. Interest rates are excellent. Their customer service is prompt and efficient. There are no restrictive conditions to getting the highest rate.
There is always someone on the end of the phone to advise me when I want to invest money. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I certainly praise Citi Bank to my friends and family.
Worst bank I've ever used. I lost my phone and now I can't access my account and they have given me literally no workable options.
Our online saver compares to none, no conversion or other fees for use whilst traveling and excellent rates on savings. Our kids are now with Citibank to help save as much as possible.
Easy to deal with. Accounts are readily accessable and rates are very reasonable. General day to day operations are tops.
I have been trying to set up an online Saver account with Citi for about 6 months. Their website records an error at the end of the application process every time. I have tried about 20 times. I’ve tried in my name. My wife has tried. My mother has even tried. It doesn’t work. We have called customer support about 6 times and they are absolutely hopeless. They have no idea. I suspect that their account is not even available anymore, but they just keep advertising it.
Poor and grossly outdated and inefficient online platform. Not able to recognise the BSB for UBank. When you run into problems, such as unprocessed transactions, the Customer Interface / outsourced call centre has no ability to rectify. Gave me a Sydney number, but no one answered that.
Great for travel as it keeps prices low, not so good for accessibility.
Thinking about changing my bank account as they are not very helpful when I need assistance
Overseas fee free
