Things to do in Queenstown:

  • Snow sports. There are many popular locations for snow sports in Queenstown, including Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. Ski season usually runs from June to October.
  • Visit a winery. New Zealand is famous for having a good drop and there are many wineries located near Queenstown that are worth visiting for lunch or a wine tasting. 
  • Visit Milford Sound. Do a boat tour or cruise and take in the picturesque view.

  • Gion Matsuri festival. This is the most famous festival in Japan, it takes place in Kyoto and runs for the entire month of July. 
  • Visit the Japanese train station in the middle of nowhere! This unique place is quite a few hours from Tokyo but if you’re feeling adventurous, this spot is a must-see.
